Show Us You Life - What you make or sell

For Harper's first birthday.  This owl canvas was different from the many I've done before...it was fun & I love the polka dot background!

Teacher canvas!  Mrs. Foshee has an underwater theme in her room so we rolled with that.  This was a gift from a sweet co-worker of hers.  Hope y'all have a great school year!

If you're visiting from Kelly's Korner, take a look around!  As you can see, I offer hand painted gifts & decor.  I 'specialize' in personalized, custom paintings for nurseries & kids rooms, but I also do artwork for adults, too!  Feel free to browse around & if you have any questions or would like to place an order, email me at thepeekabootique@gmail.com.  Have a great weekend!

2 Pairs

 2 pairs of canvases...

First up, a pair for twins!!  Our good friend, Alicia, had her twin boys in March.  We didn't know their sex until they were born so these were painted after to coordinate with their Noah's Ark nursery.  They were born at 31 weeks & are doing great now!

Next, a pair of bears!  One of our close couple friends had their second boy, Jake, in April.  He inherited big brother Reid's nursery so Vanna wanted to be sure he had his own set of canvases.

The Williams Family

Baby Charlie has a Peter Rabbit theme to his room.  Rebecca wanted something that would coordinate with that, but could also grow with him.  We decided to keep it simple with some stripes :)

Rebecca also commissioned a step stool from me.  Since she now has a girl & boy, she went with a stool in LA Tech colors & their last name so there will be no fighting over who's it is!

I'm also working on a picture frame for Charlie...pics to come soon!

Molly & Vivienne

Molly's crib bedding has a sweet crown & damask theme in a pink & green color scheme.  Since there was a lot of damask, we decided to accentuate the crowns.  I also painted a bow holder for Molly, but I think I accidentally deleted it.  Bummer

Oh, I love this one.  Sarah wanted a very simple canvas that could be hung on the hospital door & on her nursery door.  I love canvases with birth stats!

Frames, birds & bows

These picture frames were done for the grandmothers of a sweet little girl.  It's so fun to hear all the different 'names' for grandparents.  I had Grandmother & Pop-Pop & Mamaw & Papaw.  Dusty's are/were Mamaw & Papaw & Gehee & Pop.  Anders has Gran & Papa (& Bud-Bud in heaven) & Lee-Lee & Pop.  Everyone wants to be unique...Nonny, Khaki, Honey, etc.  What about you??

"If you can dream it, you can do it." was her motto for the marathon so, naturally, it should go on the frame that will house the picture of her crossing the finish line!

The ever popular Delilah bedding.  This order was not personalized because there were already a lot of items with her name or monogram in the nursery.  We decided to keep it simple.
Must have the matching bow holder!

Lap Desks, fleur de lis, & funky flowers

Personalized lap desks are such a fun gift.  In fact, I'm doing one right now for Anders, although he won't be able to use it for a while!  I'll be sure to post pictures when I'm done.  These were done for a friend who gave them as birthday gifts.  I painted McKenna's to coordinate with the canvas & bow holder her mom had ordered earlier (see bottom photos).  Jamie, hope they were a hit!

This is one of the "adult" canvases that I paint a lot.  I'm thinking about playing around & painting one that's a little more fun...maybe with a chevron background??  I'm loving chevron lately.

McKenna's mom ordered a canvas for above her bed & a bow holder to coordinate with her bedding.  She has this fun, bright bedding with lots of polka dots & retro flowers.

Harlow & more owl!

I think I've said it before, but I love the Harlow pattern from Cocalo Couture.  I have so much fun painting stuff to coordinate with this bedding.  This order incorporated a bright pink, like some of the others I've done in the past & I think it looks really good.  The green & pink really stand out against the black & white.

A friend of mine ordered a bow holder for her niece.  Owls were being used in her nursery so it was only fitting to have one on the bow holder!

Hope y'all had a great fourth of July!!  This guy did :)

Houndstooth & More Owl!

Oh, I love houndstooth so much!  I really need to start using in more on canvases.  It's just so classic to me!  Anyway, my sister needed a baby gift for a friend so she sent me some pics of Cade's bedding.  Cade's dad loves Alabama football so I decided to use houndstooth on his canvas & I love how it turned out!

My pictures are deceiving.... the green isn't as neon as it appears & you can see the full name a lot better in person.  I need photography help!

And the ever popular owl frame :)

Sam

Sam is really into football & more specifically, Ole Miss football.  His sweet Mama ordered a football jersey canvas & football step stool & here they are!

Ava & Mattie

For little Miss Ava, I painted a step stool to coordinate with the decor in her bathroom.  We kept it simple with some dots & stripes on the sides & a sea horse on top.

Ava also needed a bow holder.  As you can see, her bedding has some great, vibrant colors & a really cute print so I decided to keep the bow holder simple with stripes.

Ashley sent me a swatch of the fabric in her niece's nursery & here's the canvas for little Mattie.  I had fun with this canvas.  It just seems so sweet & girly.

Teacher signs!

I really enjoy painting the teacher canvases.  They're always fun & add a lot of personality to a classroom door.  They make great gifts, too! ;)

Starting to catch up!

I promise I will be caught up soon!

Lily had an owl themed birthday party.  No party is complete without a personalized picture frame!

Another frame for a birthday party!  He was turning one & had a monkey themed party.  I'm sure it was adorable!

Ryder is the son of a sweet friend of mine.  He was born in late August & I know he & Anders are going to be great friends.  I tried to steal some nursery pics from her facebook, but couldn't find them :/  Blair, if you're reading this, send me some pictures to add!  Blair's mom made Ryder's bedding & it is so cute!  As you can tell from the canvas, there are lots of great prints & wonderful colors.  When I get more pictures from her, I'll definitely post them.
