Yay!! He's here!!!

So, I'm thinking that I may be a little crazy about this new baby that has just joined our family, but he is sooooo cute!!! It was very hard, but I had to wait until Sarah updated her blog before I could update mine. Here is the sweetest picture of David Scott from Wednesday night. He is about 7 hours old in this picture & I'm very proud to say that I took this as my picture taking skills are often lacking!

I bet he's thanking God that he has such a great Aunt Boo! Or at least that's what I'll keep thinking:)

Anyway, Sarah had an excellent labor & delivery & I'm pretty sure a lot of her friends are not too happy with her right now because of it!! I know when the time comes for me to have a baby, I can only hope that it goes as smoothly for me.

I was able to give Sarah a couple of her canvases the morning of David Scott's birthday & both she & Scotty were very excited to see them. This one is now above his crib:

This one was originally going over his dresser, but I think they have decided to put it somewhere else:

Did I mention that I'm not the greatest picture taker?!? I guess I will have to sharpen those skills by taking tons of photos of the baby! Haha, good excuse, huh??

I can't wait!!!

Well, I lied....I said that I would probably have some of your custom orders done my mid week, but I am not done with them because

I am just so excited I can't contain myself! I will be at the hospital tomorrow & will be headed home around lunch on Thursday so I won't be able to work on the custom orders until Thursday night. I will e-mail you when yours is done, but since I'm not at home to paint, I am all focused on the little bundle of joy that will make his debut tomorrow.

I have his canvases done & with me to give to Sarah in the morning (or at some point in the day!) so as soon as she sees them, I will post them for the world to see. I'm so excited about her seeing them!

Anyway, I will probably post a few times tomorrow, so check back!!

Please say a special prayer that all things go smoothly tomorrow for Mommy, Daddy & Baby David Scott.

Have a great night!

A gift for Baby Brianna & a sneak peek!

I finished this today for Patricia. She had this done for her sister who is due in a month or so. (Don't worry, she knows about the gift!) I thought the letters turned out so cute & they will look wonderful in Brianna's nursery!

For those of you who know my sis, you know that she will be having her first child, David Scott, ANY DAY! In fact, we thought that she would have had him by now, but we are still waiting. Even though I know she is miserable, it works out better for me that he isn't here yet, because we have made some adjustments to his artwork so, hopefully (fingers crossed) I will be able to finish it all before his grand arrival! You can check out Sarah's blog here, but for now, I will leave you with a sneak peek of one of his canvases.

As for me, I will be working all weekend finishing my precious nephew's stuff & other orders. So, if you are waiting on one, check your e-mail towards the middle of the week to see if you have a message from The Peek-A-Bootique!

Have a great weekend & GEAUX BULLDOGS!! Beat the Tigers!!

Well, CedarTown Market was a success!! I had a lot of wonderful people stop by the booth & had a great time.

This post will be full of pictures to show you what I had at the booth in case you didn't get a chance to stop by. If you see something that you like, let me know & I'll get one to you! Remember, these are custom painted so I can create one to coordinate with the colors that you use in your home & they can be personalized with initials or your last name.

(8x10 - $22)
You know I couldn't keep this away!
And for those of you who wanted this one & I told you that I couldn't sell it, well.....I can! So if you want one, place your order now!

Here are some of the 11x14 canvases I had in the booth:
(11x14 - $37)

This snowman has fun texture to him (see next pic) & I think I'm going to add a scarf to make him a little cuter!
(16x20 - $50)
To those of you who placed a custom order, they will be ready shortly! To those who want to place an order, let me know! For everyone's information....

But remember, the sooner the better!

In case you didn't know, I also offer custom Christmas ornaments! They are $6 each & I'm working on a few now that I will post pics of later. Also, The Peek-A-Bootique has gift cards! So if you want to order for someone, but don't know exactly what to do, give a gift certificate!

Hope you had a great Tuesday!
